Ingredients

2 Medium ribeye steaks

1/2 Tbsp Salt

1 tsp Pepper

Instructions

Take the steaks out of the fridge for 15 minutes and allow them to come to room temperature before cooking.

I love cast iron to get a beautiful outter crust on steaks. Nothing like it to me.
Put a cast-iron pan on at medium-high heat.

For the steaks, I like to simply use salt and pepper for seasoning.
Coat both sides of the steaks with a generous amount of salt and pepper.

Once the pan is very hot smoking a little. Please your steaks in the pan. Don't move them around, just let them stay in place for
4-5 minutes per side. Depending on how thick your steaks are.

When you turn the steaks just let them go another 4-5 minutes.

For thinner steaks like some found at walmart, you may have to decrease the time a little if you like a more rare steak.
