This is a quick and easy pepper sauced patty melt on rye that we enjoy on busy worknights occasionally. The creamy pepper sauce adds great flavor. Enjoy!

Instructions
Ingredients:
• 1 Large Yellow Onion
• 4 Slices of Colby Jack Cheese
• 1 Lbs 80/20 Hamburger
• 4 Slices Rye Bread
Pepper Sauce:
• 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
• 1/2 Sweet Onion
• 2 Tbsp Mayonnaise
• 1 Clove Garlic
• 1 tsp Black Pepper
• 1 tsp Mustard
• 2 Tbs Canned Chipotle Peppers
• 1 Tbsp Parsley
• 2 Tbsp Brown Gravy Powder
• 3/4 Cup Water
• 1 Cup Buttermilk

Directions:
For the sauce Add oil to a saucepan and add in your onion until translucent and your garlic
Combine all the dry ingredients add the water, bring to a simmer and let cook until it thickens a little
add in your buttermilk
combine 1 part Mayonnaise and 1 part pepper sauce
With the other half of your onion, saute in a separate pan with oil until you reach caramelization
Put butter on one side of the rye bread and place in pan butter side down in pan on medium heat.
The build order is Rye Bread, cheese, burger patty, cheese, burger patty, creamy pepper spread, grilled onions, top with bread.
